Hydrogen Technology Research Engineer (m/f/d)

Your mission
  • Conduct in-depth hydrogen technology evaluations across production, storage, distribution, and end-use applications.
  • Align research with organizational hydrogen and fuel cell priorities, project requirements, and industry needs.
  • Actively support R&D activities and collaborate with internal teams to advance projects.
  • Coordinate with external partners, including universities, suppliers, and development collaborators.
  • Investigate and apply for funding opportunities to support research initiatives.
  • Oversee patent applications and prepare scientific publications based on research findings.
  • Represent the organization at hydrogen energy conferences and engage in academic exchanges.
  • Ensure lab management and safety compliance, including equipment procurement and documentation.
  • Mentor students and contribute to the professional development of team members.
Your profile
  • PhD in electrochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, with project management experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge or experience in hydrogen technologies, including fuel cell systems, electrolyzer systems, hydrogen fueling stations, and end-use applications such as vehicles, stationary power, and power production.
  • Strong skills in communication, presentation, and organization.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese; German language skills are a plus.
  • Demonstrated passion for energy transition and decarbonization.
  • High degree of flexibility, agility, and a self-directed work style driven by initiative and a proactive approach.
